NCERT to retrieve 38 sold Class 8 books after 'judicial corruption' content row: Reports

After apologising for including "inappropriate material" on the judiciary in a Class 8 social science textbook, NCERT is now attempting to retrieve the 38 copies of the withdrawn books that were sold, reports said. NCERT had printed 2.25 lakh copies, of which 2,24,962 remain in stock and have been recalled to the warehouse, it added. NCERT said error was "unintentional".
