The National Capital Region was on Tuesday expanded to include three more districts, namely- Muzaffarnagar (UP), Jind and Karnal (Haryana). Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu announced the decision after chairing a meeting of the NCR Planning Board. Naidu also announced that a committee has been appointed to look into the demands for inclusion of more areas in the NCR.
