NCW was told about Manipur incident on June 12; over 1 month before video went viral

The National Commission for Women was informed about women being paraded naked in Manipur on June 12, 37 days before the video went viral on July 19. The North American Manipur Tribal Association and two activists urged chairperson Rekha Sharma to extend assistance to victims. After the clip surfaced, Sharma said, "NCW has taken suo motu cognisance of this."
