NDA to move closer to two-third majority in Lok Sabha with 20 rebel TMC MPs

If the 20 rebel TMC MPs join the BJP-led NDA in the 543-member Lok Sabha, the alliance's strength would increase from 293 to 313 seats, moving it closer to two-third majority mark of 362 required for constitutional amendments. The Delimitation Bill and the Women’s Reservation Bill had failed to clear Parliament in April after falling short of the special majority.
