NDMC develops 'Bharat Van' Miyawaki forest in Lodhi Colony

The New Delhi Municipal Council is developing a one-acre urban forest named 'Bharat Van' in Lodhi Colony using the Miyawaki plantation method, planting around 10,000 indigenous species. Described as New Delhi's first Miyawaki forest, it will include fruit-bearing and shade-giving plants, along with yoga and meditation spaces to boost urban biodiversity.
