NDRF to induct women personnel in new battalions within 1 year

The NDRF will induct women personnel in its new battalions within the next one year, its Director General SN Pradhan stated. "Earlier, we didn't have the barracks and other amenities for women personnel...But, we are now in a position to accommodate them," Pradhan added. In 2018, the Union government had made a proposal to attach women contingents to NDRF battalions.
