Nearly 1 cr people tested under Telangana's Kanti Velugu scheme

The Telangana government has announced that nearly one crore people have undergone eye examinations under Phase 2 of Kanti Velugu scheme covering 60.55% of the targeted population in the state. "About...[15.65 lakh people] have received free spectacles post the eye examination," the government stated in a release. Under the scheme, 6,567 gram panchayats have been covered across the state.
