Nearly 25% of cancer medicine entries see no price cut: Report

The NPPA's latest price revision reduced MRPs of 484 out of 643 anti-cancer medicine product entries, with average cuts of 50.8%, according to an analysis by Working Group on Access to Medicines and Treatments. However, 159 entries saw no reduction. Some generic and biosimilar medicines recorded cuts of over 90%. The group has raised concerns over affordability, originator drugs and trade margins.
