Nearly 30,000 displaced in Lebanon amid conflict: UN refugee agency
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said nearly 30,000 displaced people have sought protection in shelters in Lebanon amid the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. "Many more slept in their cars...or were still stuck in traffic jams on the roads," UNHCR spokesperson Babar Baloch said. Israel had issued evacuation orders for over 50 villages in Lebanon.
