Nearly 96 lakh Ujjwala beneficiaries made no LPG refill in FY25

Nearly 96 lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana did not take any LPG refill during FY2024-25, the highest level recorded in the past five financial years. The figures were revealed in reply to a Right to Information (RTI) query from Indian Oil Corporation. The company alone has released 4.95 crore LPG connections under PMUY as of January 1, 2026.
