Nearly half of internet traffic is now bots: Study

Nearly half of all internet traffic came from bots last year, according to a study by US-based cyber security firm Imperva. "Of all internet traffic in 2022, 47.4% was automated traffic (bots). Compared to 42.3% in 2021, that's a 5.1% increase," the study said. "Of that automated traffic, 30.2% were bad bots," the study added, calling the situation "alarming".
