Nearly half of Tigray's population is in severe need of food aid: WFP
Ethiopia's nearly two-year conflict left half of Tigray's population in 'severe' need of food as aid groups struggle to reach due to insufficient fuel supplies, according to the World Food Programme. The report said that half of the pregnant or lactating women are facing malnutrition. The UN agency said even though aid delivery resumed after unilateral ceasefire, malnutrition rate 'skyrocketed'.
