Need more banks, payment entities like Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay: CEA

Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Krishnamurthy V Subramanian on Saturday said there is need for more banks to ensure greater competition and credit penetration. He also said there is space for more payment services entities like Google Pay and WhatsApp Pay. He called for greater adoption of financial technology to improve the flow of credit and quality of lending.
