Two-time Olympic medal-winning javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra’s long-serving coach Dr Klaus Bartonietz has retired. The German cited his age and family commitments for his retirement. The 75-year-old had first been hired by Athletics Federation of India (AFI) in 2019 as a biomechanics expert, and he later became Neeraj’s coach after a fallout between his previous coach, Uwe Hohn, and AFI.
