Nepal culls lakhs of chickens as bird flu rises; shuts only zoo
Nepal has culled over 5,96,000 chickens and shut its only zoo after bird flu spread to 11 districts, including Kathmandu Valley, officials said. This outbreak, first reported in March, has also led to the destruction of more than one million eggs. Authorities suspect wild crows may be contributing to the spread of virus as they continue to monitor the situation.
