Nepal estimates ₹38,000-48,000 cr cost to rebuild after floods

Nepal’s Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle said the country may need ₹38,173 cr- ₹47,717 cr to rebuild after the devastation caused by flash floods. This amount is nearly a tenth of Nepal’s economy. “We will require much less than what we needed for the 2015 earthquake,” he added. The flash floods were caused by a glacier collapse, killing over 600 people.
