Nepal extends lockdown until May 27 amid rising cases of COVID-19
Authorities in Nepal extended lockdown in the capital Kathmandu and surrounding districts by another 15 days as the nation recorded the highest daily new cases and highest daily deaths from coronavirus on Tuesday. Nepal recorded 9,483 COVID-19 cases, while 225 died of COVID-19. The last lockdown was scheduled to end on Wednesday but now has been extended until May 27.
