Nestle adds sugar to baby foods sold in poorer countries

Cerelac and Nido, two best-selling baby-food brands, have high levels of added sugar in poorer countries but not in Europe. According to Swiss organisation IBFAN, 108 of 115 Nestle products investigated had added sugars in Asian, African, and Latin America. Experts say this is ‘discriminatory’ and have accused Nestle of ‘double standards’, since this has serious health consequences for children.
