Netanyahu skips ceasefire deadline talks with Hamas to meet Trump

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, who is due to meet US President Donald Trump on Tuesday in Washington DC, reportedly skipped talks for a deadline to extend the Gaza ceasefire with Hamas. According to the terms of the ceasefire deal, which went into effect on January 19, talks to extend the ceasefire were due to begin on February 3.
