Netflix removes support for Google Cast from its mobile apps

Netflix has quietly discontinued support for Google Cast (Chromecast) from its Android and iOS apps for most modern smart TVs and streaming devices. Casting now works only on limited hardware, including older Chromecast models without a physical remote, Nest Hub smart displays, and a small number of smart TVs. Notably, only users subscribed to ad-free plan can access it.
