Netflix sued over privacy claims and child data collection

Netflix has been sued by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, who alleges the streaming platform misled families about privacy and promised users they could avoid Big Tech surveillance by paying for a subscription. The 66-page lawsuit claims Netflix collected extensive data on children and families, used features to keep children watching, and later monetised user data through advertising.
