Neuralink's rival Paradromics completes its 1st human brain implant
Paradromics, an Austin-based brain-computer interface (BCI) startup competing with Elon Musk's Neuralink, has completed its first human brain implant. The company said its Connexus implant was successfully placed in a Michigan patient who has difficulty speaking due to motor neuron disease. The procedure was conducted as part of an FDA-approved clinical study at the University of Michigan Health.
