Never accepted NALSAR invitation, question of me attending convocation doesn't arise: CJI Kant

CJI Surya Kant has clarified that he never accepted NALSAR University of Law's invitation to be chief guest at its convocation. "The question of me attending the convocation does not arise," he told TOI. Over 400 students had opposed his proposed presence, after which BCI briefly barred the university's 2026 graduates from enrolment before withdrawing the order amid criticism.
