Never had to buy rice as supporters gift me: Japan Minister Taku

Amid soaring rice prices in Japan, Agriculture Minister Eto Taku said he doesn't need to buy rice because he receives plenty of it from supporters. "I've so much of it in...house that I could sell it," Taku added. After a row erupted over the remarks, Taku apologised, saying he had misspoken and may have exaggerated to please the crowd.
