New 24-coach Vande Bharat Sleeper train nears completion

Indian Railways is preparing to manufacture a 24-coach Vande Bharat Sleeper trainset at Chennai's Integral Coach Factory. The larger train will accommodate around 1,224 passengers and include AC 3-tier, AC 2-tier, First AC and a pantry car. ICF plans to manufacture 50 such rakes. The new configuration is intended to provide higher capacity for long-distance overnight travel.
