New basketball league to promote grassroots talent in Ludhiana

The Punjab Basketball Association (PBA) on Monday announced the Akal Yugt Bholath Basketball League, a tournament aimed at promoting the sport at the grassroots and tapping into rural talent. Addressing a press conference at the Guru Nanak Stadium, Teja Singh Dhaliwal, general secretary, PBA, said the league will inspire youngsters from villages to take up sports.
