David Calhoun has assumed the role of Boeing's new CEO after Dennis Muilenburg exit, while the 737 MAX planes crisis continues. Calhoun has previously served as a long-time Boeing director and later the chairman. Boeing spiralled into crisis after two fatal crashes of its 737 MAX planes killing 346 people in five months and was grounded globally in March 2019.
