New cervical cancer pill could stop HPV before cancer develops

An experimental oral therapy called SHetA2 could help stop persistent HPV infections from progressing to cervical cancer by targeting the virus's cancer-causing proteins. While early studies are promising, larger human clinical trials are still needed. Experts stress that HPV vaccination and regular cervical screening remain essential for preventing cervical cancer.
