New chief of Naval Staff: Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi

Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, currently Vice Chief of Naval Staff, is appointed as Chief of Naval Staff from April 30, 2024, succeeding Admiral R Hari Kumar. With 39 years of service, he specializes in Communication and Electronic Warfare. Tripathi commanded Indian Naval Ships and held key positions. An alumnus of Sainik School, Rewa, and NDA Khadakwasla.
