New high-speed highways to have boundary wall for stray cattle, safer exits

The National Highways Authority of India issued new guidelines for designing four- and six-lane access-controlled National Highways. High-speed corridors will have a one-metre-high boundary wall to prevent stray cattle from entering. The drivers will get advance warnings before entry and exit points. The width of lanes will depend on how much traffic a highway is expected to carry.
