New Man City manager Maresca to pay Chelsea compensation after 'abrupt' resignation

Chelsea said their ex-manager Enzo Maresca has agreed to pay compensation package to the club after his appointment as Manchester City manager. Chelsea said Maresca resigned abruptly in December 2025, breaking a long-term contract which he had "no right to terminate", adding they felt "let down" by the move. Manchester City are reportedly paying Chelsea around £17 million (₹212.8 crore).
