New 'marine crocodile' oldest of its kind found in UK: Study

A study published by Taylor & Francis has said scientists have discovered a new thalattosuchian, an ancient "sister" of modern-day crocodiles' ancestors, Turnersuchus hingleyae, which could be the oldest of its kind ever discovered. The animal's fossils were found in the UK and include part of its head, backbone and limbs. They date back to the Pliensbachian period.
