New Mumbai-Pune expressway to cut travel time to 90 minutes

Commuters between Mumbai and Pune may soon travel in just 90 minutes with a new 130-km expressway announced by Union minister Nitin Gadkari. Built parallel to the existing Mumbai–Pune Expressway at a cost of ₹15,000 crore, the road will ease traffic congestion, especially in the ghat section, and provide faster, safer travel for daily commuters, tourists, and businesses.
