New NCERT Class 8 book mentions 'Congress accepted Partition as only way forward', sparks row

NCERT'S revised Class 8 textbook noted Mahatma Gandhi had opposed idea of India's Partition but Congress "ended up accepting it as the only way forward". "Even though it was also clear that a certain proportion of Indian Muslims didn't favour Partition," the book reads. This has sparked a row with Congress' Pawan Khera calling it "BJP's attempt to rewrite history".
