New pagers first heated up then exploded: Hezbollah official

After pager explosions across Lebanon, a Hezbollah official told The Associated Press that the new brand of handheld pagers used by the group first heated up, then exploded. The explosions injured over 2,700 people and Hezbollah fighters and killed at least eight. Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah have been engaged in cross-border attacks since the Gaza conflict erupted in October 2023.
