New Qatar labour law to benefit Indian domestic staff

Qatar has approved a new employment law which limits foreign domestic staff to a maximum of 10 hours work a day, the first such protection for foreigners working in the country. The law which ensures monthly payment of wages and entitles workers to at least one day off a week is expected to benefit hundreds of Indians working in Qatar.
