New species of 'jumping spider' found in India named 'Hasarius Mumbai'; pic released

A new species of 'jumping spider' has been found in Mumbai by researchers, following which they named it 'Hasarius Mumbai'. "We collected the first specimens of Hasarius Mumbai during the last monsoon season, and it has taken us a year to demonstrate its distinctiveness," research head Rishikesh Tripathi said. Spiders of Hasarius genus hunt their prey by pouncing on it.
