New species officially named Ninja Lanternshark

Scientists have officially described a new species as "Ninja Lanternshark", scientifically called Etmopterus Benchleyi, which was first discovered by the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in 2010. After the description, there are now 37 known Lanternshark species. The 30-50 centimetre long shark's special characteristic includes light-emitting spots along the sides and the fins.
