New 'strictly nocturnal' gecko species discovered in Arunachal Pradesh
A team of researchers from five institutes across India have discovered a new gecko species in Arunachal Pradesh and named it Cyrtodactylus arunachalensis. "These geckos are strictly nocturnal and are found usually around rocky areas or under culverts," said the researchers in a statement. The team is on an expedition to study undocumented biodiversity in the state.
