New tourism tax proposed in Bali to tackle overtourism

Over the last few years, Bali has emerged as one of the most loved beach destinations for travel lovers. Now, the tropical paradise is likely to get more expensive, as the officials have proposed a new tourism tax to control the overcrowding. Balinese officials are considering a daily fee for international visitors, on the lines of Bhutan’s Sustainable Development Fee.
