New US strikes on Iran were absolutely necessary: NATO chief

NATO chief Mark Rutte backed the latest US strikes on Iran, terming the response "absolutely necessary". US launched "powerful strikes" on Iranian targets following attacks on three vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday. "When you have a ceasefire and Iran is basically violating the ceasefire, I think it is totally crucial that the US forcefully reacts," Rutte said.
