New wasp species named after Doctor Who villain

To mark Doctor Who's 60th anniversary, 14 newly discovered wasp species have been named after the villainous Daleks. The insects belong to genus 'Dalek' and are part of the 619 new wasp species. One species, Dalek nationi from Costa Rica, pays homage to Terry Nation, the Welsh creator of the Dalek mutant race featured in the long-running BBC TV show.
