New York declares August 15 as 'India Independence Day'

The state of New York in the US has declared August 15 as 'India Independence Day' in a proclamation signed by New York Governor Kathy Hochul. Separately, the US state of New Jersey also declared August 15 as 'Indian Independence Day' in a proclamation signed by Governor Mikie Sherrill. This comes after Massachusetts declared August 15 as 'India Day'.
