New Zealand allows two doctors to prescribe MDMA for severe PTSD

New Zealand is the second country to permit MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for severe PTSD. Regulator Medsafe authorized two psychiatrists to prescribe pharmaceutical-grade MDMA to eligible adults. The drug remains unapproved generally and is not for home use. It must be administered in a strictly supervised clinical setting alongside psychotherapy to safely help patients process trauma.
