New Zealand MP quits over shoplifting claims after CCTV footage surfaces

New Zealand's Green Party MP Golriz Ghahraman has resigned from the parliament after multiple allegations of shoplifting against her. CCTV footage of her attempting to steal items from at least two clothing stores have surfaced. "It's not a behaviour I can explain because it's not rational in any way, and after medical evaluation, I understand I'm not well," she said.
