Newly discovered dinosaur might be the last of its species: Study

The recently discovered dinosaur species, Iani smithi (Iani), may have been the 'last gasp' or final one of its species in the changing climate conditions during the mid-Cretaceous era. Its remarkably preserved fossil, including its vertebrae, skull and limbs, was found in Utah. Iani, an early ornithopod, lived about 99 million years ago, researchers at North Carolina State University stated.
