Newly discovered lizard species named after dragon from 'House of Dragon'
A newly discovered lizard species in Thailand has been named Acanthosaura syrax, after Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen’s dragon Syrax from the popular fantasy series 'House of the Dragon'. Researchers said the name was chosen due to similarities between the fictional dragon and the lizard, including its yellow colour, relatively small size and ability to produce many eggs.
