Newly found isopod species in US named after music legend Buffett

Scientists found a new isopod species in US' Florida Keys. They named it 'Gnathia jimmybuffetti' after the music legend Jimmy Buffett, marking their love for his songs associated with the Florida Keys. These tiny 3-millimetre-long creatures belong to the cryptofauna group. The juveniles of this species feed on fish blood at night, while adults live quietly on the ocean floor.
