A 19-year-old woman, Pushpendri Devi, was found hanging at her in-laws' house in Amroha, hours after making a frantic phone call to her father. Her family alleged dowry harassment and murder over a ₹10 lakh demand. Police registered an FIR against her husband and relatives under dowry death and cruelty charges however, the accused remain at large as the investigation continues.
