Nexus of doctors & pathology labs inflating citizens' bills: Chadha in RS

Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha on Thursday flagged an alleged "cut money" nexus between doctors and pathology labs, highlighting that "referral commission" has become a parallel incentive economy inflating patients' bills. Chadha stated these payouts, booked as "marketing expenses" by labs, inflate patients' medical bills by 15-20%. He urged the government to take action against unnecessary tests.
